TAITRA representatives mark the official opening of Taiwan Expo 2025 in the Philippines, celebrating stronger ties and opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
MANILA, Philippines — Taiwanese companies are returning to Manila with a broader push for partnerships, distribution, technology transfer, and local business collaboration at Taiwan Expo 2026, happening September 17–19 at the SMX Convention Center.
More than 125 exhibitors will participate in this year’s event, spanning green technology, agriculture, intelligent technology, healthcare, and lifestyle.
The expo follows a strong 2025 showing that generated US$53.4 million in business opportunities and attracted more than 10,000 buyers.
For Philippine entrepreneurs and businesses, the event presents opportunities beyond traditional import and distribution.
TAITRA Chairman James C. F. Huang said Taiwanese companies are looking toward joint ventures, licensing, and local assembly, with the objective of creating partnerships that continue generating value over the long term.
The push comes amid expanding economic ties. Taiwan and the Philippines traded US$6.71 billion in goods in 2024, while bilateral trade increased 8.5 percent during the first seven months of 2025.
Technology and sustainability will be among the biggest business opportunities at this year’s expo.
The Green & Innovation Showcase will feature battery energy storage systems, hydrogen microgrids, green building insulation, AI-powered waste sorting technology, and biodegradable drinking straws.
Agribusiness opportunities will be featured in the Agritech & Food Pavilion, where companies will showcase autonomous mobile robots, smart livestock environmental systems, orchids, teas, and specialty food products.

The Intelligent Technology Pavilion will target businesses looking to improve operations through AIoT, edge computing, cybersecurity, collaborative robots, and warehouse safety systems.
Healthcare and consumer businesses can explore the Beauty & Wellness Pavilion, while retailers and distributors can find potential products in the Premium Lifestyle Pavilion.
Among the consumer-oriented products are recycled-fabric bags, EV safety blankets, memory storage devices, smart wine aerators, precision bathroom components, and specialty towels.
Organized by the Taiwan International Trade Administration under Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and implemented by TAITRA, Taiwan Expo 2026 aims to turn business introductions into sustainable commercial relationships.
For Philippine companies looking for new suppliers, technologies, products, or international partners, the three-day exhibition provides a platform to explore opportunities with Taiwanese enterprises.
